Privacy Policy:
Privacy is important to us. We want you to feel comfortable and confident using the Sutter County One-Stop website. Because we gather certain types of information about the users of this system, we feel you should fully understand what information we gather and how we use that information. Sutter County Superintendent of Schools employees are required to familiarize themselves with this privacy policy as a condition of their employment, and any employee violating the policy is subject to disciplinary action.
1. What Information Does Sutter One-Stop.com Gather?
We gather the information required to properly service your account. We keep records that contain your personal information, i.e. your name, address, phone number and email address. Sutter One-Stop.com does not keep track of what sites you visit when you are using the service.
2. What Does Sutter One-Stop.com Do With This Information?
We use the information it gathers in order to provide you with the best service possible. As you might expect, contact information is used to contact you concerning your requests and our services. In addition, the Sutter County One-Stop.com regularly sends out mailings regarding changes to this site and services that it believes may be of interest to you. You may request that Sutter County One-Stop.com not send you mailings relating to services by sending an e-mail to privacy@sutter.k12.ca.us.
3. Does Sutter One-Stop.com Share Information With Third Parties?
We will not share or disclose information regarding its clients except (i) when we receive legal process such as a court order; (ii) when reasonably necessary to protect the organization's rights or property; or (iii) in emergencies where someone's safety is at risk. You should be aware, however, that any information that you disclose in a public space such as a chat room, bulletin board, or personal Web site, is freely available to anyone else visiting that space. Sutter County One-Stop cannot safeguard any personally identifiable information you disclose in these locations, nor can it ensure that information you voluntarily supply to third parties remains private. Please review the privacy policies of third party sites you frequent to ensure that your privacy preferences are respected.
4. How Can I Correct or Update the Information?
To request a copy of the information Sutter County One-Stop.com has on your account, send an e-mail request to privacy@sutter.k12.ca.us. You may correct that information as appropriate by returning a message to the same address.
5. What Happens to the Information if I No Longer Require Services?
We will normally delete your personally identifiable account information at the end of our fiscal year if we have not enrolled you into a WIA funded program, or unless we are under a legal obligation to retain it.
6. Changes to This Policy and Questions About Privacy
The Sutter County One-Stop.com reserves the right to make changes to this policy. Those changes will become effective 30 days after notice of them is posted here. If you have any questions about this privacy policy, please send them via e-mail to privacy@sutter.k12.ca.us.
